When several of my husband's teammates died in combat in 2008, I was serving as ombudsman for his team's families. My husband had been injured, but would be okay. But for those women whose husbands would not be returning alive, life had changed forever. In the days, weeks, and months that followed, we all saw true love and support from wives, friends, and strangers. One of the widow's friends had presented her with a bracelet. It had all the mini medals that her husband had ever been awarded in his career. It was FULL; every link was taken. When she tried to wear it, however, it was heavy and cumbersome, and it began to tarnish when it got wet. When I saw this bracelet I was inspired! And so began my quest for beautiful charms that a wife or loved one could wear as a feminine piece of high quality jewelry, and honor their service member. I hope you enjoy wearing this jewelry as much as I enjoy making it. It stands for so much more than just silver and enamel.
Thank you for visiting.
